schedule except for Express and phone orders. It is best to order
directly from the website until at least September 20th. Due to
Hurricane Frances, the best way to communicate with us is through the
limited email we receive when visiting locations that are equipped with

We finally have water after 7 days. Gas situation getting much better. Working out of multiple locations just to achieve shipping. Looks like power is still a week away. Received some bags of ice courtesy of BB&T Bank. They aren't in the phone book, don't know who they are but thank you anyway. Deep sigh. Friday September 10th, 2004: Hurricane Ivan is coming. Landfall looks like Tuesday morning. Still no power, water, daycare etc. Gas shortage seems to have eased up. Ice is a little more available. A local McDonalds manager drove down our street with a 55 gallon drum of ice from their ice machine. We stocked a little cooler but only lasts a day or so. Estimate to restore our power again is September 19th, 2004. This sucks. We are caught up on shipping, will ship again this afternoon about 4:30PM. Phone orders are suspended but orders received on the internet should ship same day. Express orders are suspended due to the logistics of working out of multiple locations. Thursday September 9th 2004: We have moved shipping to an alternate location and are processing orders received since 9-02-04 for shipping on Thursday 9-09-04. As of 9-09-04 @ 3:30PM all orders have been processed and shipped. We have been shut down since evacuating Hurricane Frances on Thursday 9-02-04. Wednesday September 8th, 2004: Mainly running around between the store and house to see if power is back. It isn't. Drove all over the county looking for a hotel or motel to set up operations in. Lot's of rooms but no power. The ones with power are booked up for three weeks and then only to out of town emergency crews. Tuesday September 7th, 2004: Hanging around store, waiting for power. The entire shopping plaza is without power due to one little 2 foot piece of wire that we can plainly see. Should have power any time now... No traffic lights. Armed National guard is starting to direct traffic. Monday September 6th, 2004: First chance to get back onto barrier island. The store survived with medium damage. We do not have power at the store or at home. No lights at the store or home. No air conditioning at the store or home. No water at the store or home. No ice at the store or at home. No gasoline. (can't pump gas without electricity) No internet at the store or at home. No traffic signals at intersections. Flows better than when we had them. We were the lucky ones. Sunday September 5th, 2004: Hurricane is at it's peak this morning. Expected to lessen throughout the day. Saturday September 4th, 2004: Storm hits, strong winds. Lost power about 11PM, never to return. Friday September 3rd, 2004: Got in line to buy plywood to board up the house at 4AM in the morning. We were 9th in line. Store opens at 6AM, now the line is about a mile long. Plenty of plywood but no tap-con screws to fasten it with. Boarded up the house, the in-laws house, the neighbors house. Get propane tanks filled for grill. Thursday September 2nd, 2004: Hurricane evacuations announced. The entire state of Florida appears to be shut down. The shippers aren't delivering.
